Ramblee-amblee

My computer had a heart attack and died two days ago. I've fixed it, but I lost all the data files. I had all my music and videos backed up on a portable hard drive, but I lost most of the demos and half-completed songs from the past year or so. And a lot of little ideas jotted down for Hafford.

And a track I was almost done for Bleeders.

In the process of moving to the new place in Outremont I lost two of my synthesizers. Stolen when we were unloading our stuff. Weird.

So, I've been given a new hand. It's strangely liberating.

At a weekend-long film shoot I was given a number for where to rent cheap dollies and tracks. Suddenly a huge barrier between me and the kinds of films I want to make has vanished. Sitting around a friend's apartment, moving lights and cables every couple hours, drinking, hanging out talking with the people involved. It was very human on set.

That's important to me. I want to make human films. Extremely charitable films.

Liberty liberdee lihbrodee.

From S.F. Sorrow. Also recorded in Abbey Road concurrent with the recording of Sgt. Pepper's.

Concurrent? I'll just shove that in there.

I like the sounds of you making films. Crappy about your equipment, glad you found liberation in it. Thanks for the reminder to back up my work. I haven't done that in a week. Argh---Machines.
