Also,
The Fall have this song 'I Am Damo Suzuki' that is the most frantic and rock'n'roll thing I have heard since I don't know when. It's foaming at the mouth. Like, the band is using every ounce of energy to keep from bursting into flame. But there's grace too. I don't know. It's just incredible.

Dragonslayer is good? That's exciting. I found Random Spirit Lover underwhelming (though 'Mending of the Gown' is really something), so I hadn't listened to this new one yet. Now I'll have to.
Yeah, I've played 'Lost In Space' into the ground. Classic.
Neko Case just doesn't do it for me. Or hasn't. But the fact that you, and Dave and Nathan and others, like her so much makes me wonder what I'm missing.

Great list. I look forward to checking out Midlake and Frightened Rabbit. I'd never heard of them, so thanks for that.
Have you heard the Cat Power/Yoko Ono version of Ono's 'Revelations'? It's like a smarter, more insightful version of 'Imagine.' I really appreciate that Ono makes room for negativity and bad behaviour, even if she does get a little too flowery and earth-motherish for my taste.
