William Burroughs & Gus Van Sant, 'The Discipline of DE'

Gus Van Sant, 1982

Taken from William Burroughs' fascinating piece of the same name.

It's not a perfect film. Not even great. But there's something there. Burroughs writes of "the final discipline of doing nothing," and sinnersbleeders finds that amazing. What's he saying, "final discipline"? Final?

Final.

It reminds me of a U.G. Krishnamurti quote:

"Unfortunately, the servant, which is the thought structure, has taken possession of the house."
